In 1994, a coalition of education-based organizations in the United States designated October as LGBTQ+ History Month. The purpose of the commemorative month is to recognize the impact that LQBTQ+ individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally. Fifty students with perfect attendance in Quarter 1 were recognized and attended a pizza party where they received a holiday gift, presented to them by Ravens players Gus Edwards and Ben Cleveland, and a family gift to take home.Īmerican Education Week was a huge success!
